Bald red butt??

I have this chicken that has a bald red butt! It was real red and then it got better and now it is really red again. I have been putting that blue lotion on it so it look wierd in the pic). I had one other chicken have this and she died. I been keeping a close eye on this one for that reason. Help anyone??

Have you checked for mites or lice?

I haven't seen any! She is the only one out of 12 that have this and they are free range

If you have a feather picker...put some Vick's Vapor Rub on your Barred Rock's rear end. It wont hurt neither chicken, but will deter the feather picker.

Hey my rooster's butt looks like that too! I thought it was just his color, haha
but I have mites and feather pickers.... I'm gonna try the vicks thing

I haven't seen any feather plucker, but who knows! I just worry about the vicks burning cuz it looks kinda raw....i am using that blue lotion try to get it to heal a bit then im going to try it! I you have mits won't there be more than one chicken with issues?
