I ordered 10 baby chicks from MPC, shipped on April 11. 2 are Welsummers, and 8 are different varieties of Wyandottes. They are 4 weeks tomorrow. 8 are feathering out nicely, but the 2 Columbians are still mostly down fluff and there's an awful lot of pink skin showing through, especially on wing tips, back and neck. The other chicks aren't like that. The don't get picked on, that I notice, and they are active and normal otherwise.
Should I be concerned? I got chicks from them last year, as well, and don't remember this problem on any (well, last year I also had 3x as many, so I might not have noticed this on 1 or 2).

i think that it's alright.

I hope...

Cuz mine's that way too

I've got a few barred rocks and australorps the same age that I've been calling "necked necks" for the same reason. It seems to be more a problem on the necks of cockerals and under wings of all. first timer and just figured it was norm, lol
