balding with black spots on quails heads

Both the coturnix and the buttons are three weeks?

I don't have experience with buttons, perhaps it knows that the coturnix are a different species and is claiming food and territory?

I assume they are both 3 weeks - that's how I understood the post. The buttons should be significantly smaller even at that age, so it must be one feisty little bird to try to claim anything from the cots ^^

Well since I don't get notifications anymore and the problem has subsided a bit with only missing head feathers I let the problem slide a bit. I'm planning on selling the button quails already since I can sex them now. The size difference wasn't too much when they were hatchling but now it's extremely obvious XD. They are 4 weeks now and I think the feather balding has slowed down since I started giving them daily treats of fruits and veggies they seem happier.
