Hey,

Recently added a new duck to our home. We noticed she seems to be balding on the back of her head/neck. Anything we can do for her or will it just grow back naturally?

Thanks!

Yeah we figured as much but we don't know since this is her first week with us and shes almost 7 months old now. So far she has been great with our one drake and other hen so no issues. Just curious what we can do if anything for her or will it just grow back.

I would just watch it closely, to make sure she doesn't get any open areas that could get infected. Not really much you can do, maybe give her some extra treats with lots of vitamins like spinach, kale or blueberries.

She looks like she might have been getting bred at her last home...It will grow back when she molts....
Spinach is no good for Ducks or Chickens...It prevents their body from absorbing calcium....

Congrats on your new Duck.....

They get kale everyday morning, and lots of blueberries as treats so good that this will help!

Just noticed this morning it looks worse. She did just get out of the pool so it's a little matted down. There are no signs of over mating or being picked on. We only have 1 drake in the flock and he's pretty tame most the time. What else can we do for her? Anything else we can look for?
