Balding.!

How many hens do you have? My females look like that if they are being mated by the drake. If it gets too bad, we have to separate them until it heals. I've also noticed that our drake has preferences (usually the slowest hen), so they can get pretty beat up pretty fast.

My duck has lost all its hair on its belly. This happened out of no where within two days. What is causing this?

Thank you!!

I have 2 right now. 3 more growing up. Our 2 drake has always had 2 and he's been fine and they never had any sign of abuse. The one in the photos we adopted. It's possible she was being mated before hand and it will just come back with the next molt. I have no idea it's the only place on her body that's like that.

When new Ducks are introduced to a flock that is also the area that the other Birds grab during integration ...

Nope surprisingly they took her right in. Within 1 day she was sleeping in the coop with them. The only one we had trouble introducing was our drake to our 2 hens. They bullied him until we was older, then grew to love him. There is absolutely no abuse going on here with her.

Like I've stated previously our drake is pretty tame and our other lady is the sweetest and could care less about what's going on as long as she's fed lol.

I guess it's not as bad as that photo shows since she was matted down by the swim, but if would not be surprising if it was a little worse because well she still does get mounted from time to time.

Just trying to figure out what else I can look for.
