Banding Hens

A lot of you recommend banding your females. At what age and what size band do you use so that it is not to small and does not need replaced so often?

I use snap bands from foy's thay come in a lot of sizes and a sharpie for numbers, a lot of colors too and if your birds gets to big they snap open and causes no harm

I've actually seen that one but it doesn't list guineas so I wasn't sure what the best size would be for them.
