Banning linebreeding in Oregon??? H$U$!!!

i kinda get both sides but i would not support this law
1 side there are serious problems and maybe there have been like alot of problems in youre area
2 i know most purebreds have been inbred and if done correctly it is rly rly good

Buster - that is closer to the facts than most would guess...while most places have taboos against brother - sister relationships...most don't have it for cousins...dang...forgot the state...is trying to pass legislation against it. (several of the talk radio shows have been talking about it)

i never watched that myself. Saw a lot of discussion on it from the dog breeders on the net. From what i gather what the vidoe showed was geared more towards animals rights,a nd a very baised slam against good dog breeders.

It is a form of inbreeding. just not severe as breeding full brother to full sister.

ahh.. i think i see. So its like grandpa to granddaughter then?? You skip a generation?

Mother-son, father-daughter, half brother-half sister(as long as the offspring are bred back to something else lesser related), niece-uncle, nephew-aunt, cousin-cousin, grandfather-garndaughter, granson-grandmother,and so forth. I know with rabits you can select does from each litter and keeping line breeding them to the original herd buck. Same with bucks to the original doe.

I would hope it doesnt come up again. The scary part of that bill, to me, is the government regulation into something they have no business regulating.
