Our brand spanking new barnyard mix bantam babies (Mom is pure black Dad is black with a blackwashed reddish coloration on his neck)
Hatched early yesterday morning
we have them in the brooder box now for a short while before they
go into the farm brooder box.

I am pretty sure this is a dutch bantam .. please confirm because I want to start putting them in shows.

Why do you want to show birds that you don't even know what they are? Show people know where their stock came from, what breeder or hatchery, and exactly how old their birds are, and who the parent stock/line was from.

He's an Ameraucana/Sebright/Brahma mix
He caught my eye and like a great pair of shoes I had to have him.

Mostly he looks like a bantam EE and I can see why you were taken with him - pretty coloring. If he was a hen I wonder what color the eggs would be - maybe a green or olive?

i wanted to get a dutch but theyre impossible to find in the northwest.Do you know any other breeds that are really pretty and clean legged?

Update on the baby banties

Update on out new Rooster (s) we couldn't let the other get grilled...lol
Bilbo (he's had some insane changes in 1 month)
u thought he was a beauty before

All 3 roosters came from the same parents, same hatch...and though all beautiful, we only really needed one...
The black & white guy will surely be rehomed this week coming.

The gal we sold him to took the black and white also, she will be breeding Alex with her Ameraucana we'll be getting a couple chicks back in the spring...
