so, last week a stray cat (which the neighbors “adopted” ) came into my barn and grabbed two of my 3 week old bantam chicks (a gold sebright and a blue Wyandotte- which I was almost positive was a cockerel), I wasn’t that sad because I wasn’t attached to those two because I knew one was already a cockerel and the other one was a regular old sebright. So we made an effort to always close the barn doors, but a few days later somebody left the door open again and the same cat took two more, my blue Cochin and my white frizzled Cochin which was a pullet and my favorite! So I have set out on a mission to get some more bantams to replace them, and after hours of looking I found somebody on Craigslist with bantam calico Cochins for 3$ and from 0-6 weeks old! So I told him I would get back to him by the end of the week( it’s quite a drive). Anything I should know about the breed? PICS? I have heard of them before just never seen them for sale! I’m so happy, I think I will get about 6!
