Bantam Chicken Dying in our arms help!

no, no blood whats so ever, and is the pink poison solution stuff ok for chickens?

Since they are house chickens and you said she doesn't let them outside. It has to be something she's using in the home - maybe floor cleaner or room deodorant or whatever. I would take a good hard look thru the whole house - searching out things like that.

Does anyone smoke. Cigarette butts will kill chickens and human babies fast.

Yes, shes a smoker and she keeps an ashtray beside the bed, we use spray room deodorants but we use it very sparingly and we dont use stuff like comet or anything powdered and never just left open or laying where anyone can get to it. and gfs mom just said the chickens hate the cig butts and never go near them what so ever. we just walked around the house and cant seem to find anything at all the chickens could've gotten into. we're gonna go get some of the pink gel stuff right now, where can we get it and how much should we give to the chicken?

You should be able to get the kaopectate anywhere, Walmart, any pharmacy or even some grocery stores. Please keep us posted but it truly does sound like she has gotten into something. I hope she recovers. Good luck and let us know.

This is the Cornell Univ. Toxic Plant List; I include it as you search the house, and note especially Tobacco on the list

Now the bad news is that if it is nicotine you'll need a vet, possibly to give an atropine shot. The good news is that using a stomach treatment like kaopectate may work, provided you can get it safely into the bird. Acute nicotine poisoning in a bird or mammal can kill in 15 min to 4 hr. Anything that comes up into her mouth or throat should be suctioned away asap so it is not ingested into the lungs. Sometimes there are convulsions followed by heart or respiratory failure.
