Bantam chicken question

So I have a bantam chicken that I got in September 2018. The other day she decided to jump on top of my 4 foot fence and proceed to fly about 100 ft away and 30 or so feet up into a pine tree and perched there for about 10 minutes. After that she flew back to the yard. My question is, is this normal for that to happen?

Not sure, I don't free range, but I am glad she came back!!

Very normal. If you leave your bantams loose, they will fly. They love to fly. Maybe secure them and if you want to let them free range every day, let them out about an hour before they go to bed. Mine pretty much stay around their house and pen, but they fly around a lot when they are out. Just a warning, they might fly in your face!
