Bantam chickens.. a friendly discussion about all pure and mixed breeds.

Pics
Chickens with nice fans on their tails, like seramas, etc, don’t open the way a fantail pigeon tail opens. The pigeons open like a turkey strutting. Fans on chickens are usually just straight inline.

Yes she is mine. She’s a great momma. In that pic, she is hiding a few chicks.
Rosebud is very pretty too! I’d say definite pullet. Males will get two long main tail feathers that rise above the rest, I think. I can usually tell my seramas by their combs too, but rose combs aren’t so easy to tell the difference.

So far the Cockerels were easily picked out because even with a Rosecomb they were bigger and redder early.
Thanks Natalie for helping me..:frow
I definitely don't want more Cockerels. Forest Hump will definitely let me know who needs to go if that Silkie turns out to be a Cockerel. :frow

The people I get Birds from actually showed Rosecomb and Old English game Bantams. I thought they still did. They stopped about 3 year ago. That Rosecomb Rooster they have is the only winner they have left. So cross him with the quality Old English game Bantam hens they have. Plus the Rosecomb hens too.
I don't care at all because I just like chickens..:D
