Those close up pictures aren't mottling. It's just leakage. So are the white spots on your mixed cockerel. Mixing chickens will give you unexpected leakage.

8 males (3 are OEGB)... I just reposted the ad for the extra boys... and 2 nest boxes.

Split motting appears as leakage sometimes, like for example, tiny spots on the back of a chickens head, or white marks on random feathers.
