I’m in the deep southern parts of the USA... never had to heat my birds. News Channel says fall weather here might last through winter..

I'll be freezing my giblets off And slipping on ice for months before we see green again..

The Ducks actually won't go in by themselves so you have to do it nightly.
Definitely a challenge. I thought you had two separate pens and houses for the chickens and Ducks?

Oh I see...Well the Ducks will probably need to be trained to go to bed in bad weather.

Have you been cold yet? We have thick frost so I have heat on for my Bantams. I have young Pullets though too and can't afford respiratory issues.
My Calls are fine though without heat till we get really below in temps..

I know she does too, I just opened a box of eggs from her! Cochin, serama, and cream legbar. They arrived with none cracked, a few messed up air-cells but cant do anything about that. So, well see what comes of this one!
