Is this Hen a Cochin? I think so...

I really want everyone to feel free to post all Bantams here and definitely beauty is in the eye of the beholder and actually all birds are great just because they are happy and birds...
Crosses and hatchery stock are just as good a show Birds..

That does look like a bantam cochin to me. If it’s a mix, it’s mainly cochin.

Along with my call ducks, I have about 40 bantam cochins, and probably 50 seramas. New for this year, I hatched a trio of d’Uccle (porcelain pair plus a golden neck pullet). Bantams are my favorite. They help with my chicken math, since they don’t take up as much room.

I know she does too, I just opened a box of eggs from her! Cochin, serama, and cream legbar. They arrived with none cracked, a few messed up air-cells but cant do anything about that. So, well see what comes of this one!

Glad they made it safely.

Your Rooster is the same colour as Forest Hump..
Forest doesn't have the feathered legs..

@chickens really I am so glad that your thread has exploded. When I first read it, I was hopin that it would bc I feel bad when people start chat threads and no one participates. But I am so glad this one did, also bc I really love bantams, and wanted to see everyone else's!

I always had standard chickens and definitely stressed me right out..
I've had Bantam chickens for a year and have enjoyed them tremendously...ZERO stress..
