Bantam chickens.. a friendly discussion about all pure and mixed breeds.

Hi! I just found this thread. So awesome! I didn’t think I’d get bantams but I fell in love with dUccles Milleflore that a friend has. When I ordered mine I included a rooster. He is the only roo (cockerel) I have. He is mind bogglingly cute. He’s been crowing for a couple of weeks. My pullets are not laying yet and he’s starting to chase them around a bit.

My pullets are about 4 months old. Any ideas about when they might start laying?
No I have no idea when they will begin laying..:idunno
I bet they are cute little birds though..:frow

@RoostersAreAwesome
The Rosecomb Rooster was mostly white with black tail feathers and were the two old English game Bantam hens. Lady has no idea how the colour showed up on the two birds I have. All her birds are kept in breeding cages during the breeding and hatching season.
My other two Pullets I bought are pure Rosecomb or so she said they are..:idunno
The little white one and the darker one are supposed to be Rosecomb. What is a Fantail? A Pigeon?..

Do you mean my chicken looks like a Pigeon? :idunno
What's a Fantail :idunno...:confused:

No, I didn’t mean it looks like a pigeon. :confused:

But yes, a fantail is a pigeon. Beautiful birds with tails that fan out like a turkey. I’m jealous of @CCUK s fantails. I will have some one day.
