Bantam chickens.. a friendly discussion about all pure and mixed breeds.

Looking for homes for my Bantam cockerels. A local feed store helped me find homes for my Sebright boys and one Dutch boy so far but now I'm trying to do the work of finding homes! Here are my beauties in case you know anyone interested! I'll drive them very far to get them a new home and am open to all sorts of adoption or boarding ideas. Here's a link to my Craigslist ad:

Very cute. I have around 6 little boys that I will move out of my bantam coop and integrate into my standard flock when they get a little bit older. I like the little stinkers. They go good with standard hens generally.

I really love my boys so much. I built them a coop. But they are soooo loud. Can't keep them in the city :( My neighbors are fantastic and supportive...but ten roosters is too many. Two I can squeak by with! Or crow by with!

That does look like a bantam cochin to me. If it’s a mix, it’s mainly cochin.

Along with my call ducks, I have about 40 bantam cochins, and probably 50 seramas. New for this year, I hatched a trio of d’Uccle (porcelain pair plus a golden neck pullet). Bantams are my favorite. They help with my chicken math, since they don’t take up as much room.

I'm in love with the Golden neck D'Uccles!!!

Hiya! You have some lovely hens. At a glance I even thought you had a fantail on the second picture !
I have two pekin bantams. Both were rescued from a 'friend'. She doesn't have much time for her chickens and in all honesty probably shouldn't have any. I saw one last year and it was limping around her run so I went in to check her over. She had a baseball sized solid mud covering her complete foot. I immediately broke the mud all off. I needed to carefully use a pair of pliers to break it off. It was absolutely solid and had been there some time. Her skin on her leg had started to rot and her toes were curled under. She still couldn't walk properly. I couldn't leave her so I stole/kidnapped RESCUED her. Long story short, turns out her leg had been broken and not healed straight. She has tendon damage and can't open her claws. With alot of tlc and a several months as an indoor hen she is doing well. She now outside. She has about 60% mobility in that leg but can get around pretty quick! She loves being broody! She is the sweetest hen. This is speckle.
