Bantam Cochin cockerels?

I wouldn't assume there all Roosters they are still young and have you ever seen the adult hens of that breed? There combs and wattles vary in size, shape and color. If I were you I would keep them till you hear a crow if one exist.

They have combs no pullet could have, close to the size of an adult hen.

Those are all definitely boys. Girls don’t get that red until they get close to laying. I have some bantam Cochins right now, almost 11 weeks old, and none of the girls have combs even remotely close to that size or color. Only one has a comb like that and he developed it at about the same age as these 3, maybe a little earlier, and is a definite boy. Cochins especially are slow maturing. They should not have combs like that. With a breed like a Leghorn or something, where both genders have large combs and wattles, it can be a bit tricky, but these 3 are definitely boys.

@MAchicken105 I am so sorry this happened and hopefully the seller responds back to you :fl

If not, you could possibly pursue legal action with as much money as you spent and being duped like this, but that would obviously take time and money and is completely understandable if you don’t want to bother with it.

I just hope they make it right. :fl

Not going to bother, that’s on them for being crappy people. I sent a text with pictures and she chose not to respond. They were a recommended breeder too, so not like I found them off Craigslist or anything.
The only real bummer about this is I have at least 7 cockerels That I know I won’t be able to rehome all and I’ll have to cull them and I’m sure I’ll find many more. I hate that.

I’m sorry. I got duped too. 2 boys out of four ‘sexed’ chicks. I love them so much, too. I hope I can find them somewhere to go. Both are cute little Dominiques named Salt and
Pepper. But you are in worse than me. :hugs :hugs :hit :hit :barnie :rant

That’s totally understandable!!! Just sucks! I hope they aren’t doing this to other people :fl

Bantams are notoriously hard to sex too, from what I understand, so not many people offer them.

I’m sorry this happened. :hugs

You could try Craigslist to rehome them. I had heard how difficult it was to rehome cockerels but I got replies within minutes and rehomed all 4.
