BANTAM COCHINS CLUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well bantam chicks are smaller. If they were in with regular breeds and not in a bantam bin they are probably standard. They are average to poor layers. They tend to go broody and they lay small eggs for their body size. On the plus side is they are big friendly birds who can hatch eggs for you and possibly raise chicks and they look adorable with their "pants" on.

Bantams just are miniature forms of standard size poultry. Dwarfs, like miniature horses and dwarf rabbits. Unless the chicks you picked up were smaller than all the rest, you probably got standard cochins. Still just as sweet I think!

My one goal is to get a black banty Cochin pullet out of this mix! I'm interested in opinions on the coloring of the chick in back, could a black be that mottled?

I got 2 bantam Cochins (or I think so. The sign only said bantams) at tsc. They are 2 weeks old. Does anybody know what color they are? Their wings are lavender/blue color, but their shoulder feathers are buff. Thank you!

I think the color would be porcelain? They look a little like porcelain D'Uccles but those have fluffy cheeks

Edit: oh they definitely have fluffy cheeks, look up porcelain D'Uccles and see if they look the same. They aren't Cochin (at least not 100%)
I have a Mille fluer D'Uccle hen
