Ok so i have only owned chickens for a lil over a year. But i believe i read some where that
roos dont know they are a rooster till about 6 month. So is it normal that
my lil partridge cochin rooster who doesnt even have all his feathers
most but not all to be breeding with my lil hen already he still fits in the
palm of my hand
 
They don't KNOW? No, they mature before the hens do in that aspect. I have roos who have started been FERTILE before they were 12 weeks old.
 
I love bantam Frizzle Cochins. But sadly, yesterday, I lost my first Fit and Show Champion and Reserve Champion Shilo.....the bird in my picture is Rontu, my Splash Rooster that died a while ago from stress at the fair. You could pull him across the yard by his hackles and he would still run to your lap for kisses...
