BANTAM COCHINS CLUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pics
I humanely put down an animal that was killing livestock. She was not a pet, she was a spayed barn cat. (Porch cat) had she stuck to mice, gophers and kibble and not broke into my chicken run she would still be alive.

Oh okay. I just couldn't understand how you cod put a pet down just for killing chicks. I would have found a way to keep her out.
But now I know it wasn't a pet

Oh no...I could never do that, if she had been a pet she would have been put on lockdown in the house till the chicks were big enough to not interest her...one of the 10 week old slw got too close to our dog on a sky run (high wire w/pulley) and we didn't put him down, found the pile of feathers, didn't see it happen, but they entered his space, now the rest won't go there, my grandson just learned a lesson from Arnold the cat just now, he tried to hug him too long and got his nose bit...farm life...daily lessons in life and death...lol

Is It just me or do Bantams feather out really slow? Or is it because he is a roo? He was hatched April 4th...I'll get a picture of his legs later, he has glorious feather trousers on! There's two more with similar coloring and feathering and one blue frizzle that could be his Mamas twin! But he has twice the feathers!

I would say these two are boys.

And the buff is a girl

The buff & blue is 5 days older than the blue in the foreground...I'm hoping they're both pullets, but the comb on the blue is really red sometimes...
