Bantam Cochins - color/pattern ?'s

Rosie is a very poorly marked Blue Silver Pencilled showing Autosomal Red.
The Cockerel is a Blue silver/gold split, which is not a recognised colour.
These photos indicate there were both silver and gold crossing in the parents/ancestors.
Pretty pets ,not show birds and limited use as breeders

I'd put the little roo in with a splash girl and a buff girl and see what ya get. I don't think I could ever have too many banty cochins

I have absolutely no interest in showing my birds, so I'm not real worried about whether their colors are "recognized" or not. And I have no intention of selling their eggs or offspring for showing purposes. They're just my pets, and as I've said before, as long as they're healthy, good natured, and as close to type as possible, that's all that matters to me. Color is really just an afterthought. I mean, I'm the only one they have to impress, right?

But when you say "limited use as breeders", what would they be limited to exactly?

Just so happens, I have a splash pullet AND a buff pullet!!! They're all a bit young yet, so it will be a while, maybe in the spring - I'll let you know what we get tho! Thanks!
