We bought our chickens two weeks ago and no eggs, unless they are so small we can't see them. They are fed properly and watered. There is zero obvious stress. Four adult hens and two pullet hens (older pullets). What do we have to do to get them to lay eggs - thinking we bought the wrong chickens. We should have selected Orpingtons.

We are finally getting eggs. We bought 4 adult bantam kochins and two slightly younger ones 1 September 15. It took them til now to lay eggs and we got them from the younger birds. Go figure. I guess they are all gonna start laying now. 3-6 eggs daily would be nice. Chicken math and science is something these birds never learned. They had 2 warm months to lay and never did here in NC. Now it's December and now they wanna lay. Go figure.
