I have my first (7) cochrin. and all are doing well. they are about 4 1/2 mos old. at what age do I take them off chick food ?? and what do I feed them next.

What other birds do you have? They can be switched to a grower or something like Flock Raiser.

We have RIR, Amberlink , Easter Eggers etc. feed them all laying pellets. the Cochin are not interested in these pellets. I have been mixing the chick feed and pellets. did not work.

They will eat them if not given a choice. They don't need layer yet anyway though. You can feed flock raiser to everyone.
