I am new to this and looking in to getting some bantams and had a couple questions about their eggs. (I'm sure these are silly questions for all you pros

) What is the average size of their eggs, does it take 2 Bantams to equal one "regular" size egg? Do they taste any different? Thanks!

Not silly at all.

Yep, it takes 2 to make a standard egg...thats the ratio I use when cooking with them

They dont taste any different at all although sometimes it seems like there is a higher yolk to white ratio on them.

Bantam eggs are all going to be different. For example my silkies eggs are lots larger than my Duccle eggs. Not very helpful huh?

I only use bantam eggs for all my cooking and eating. Egg size will vary according to breed and age of birds. I started using two for one, but now that the eggs are 42grams I generally use three for two unless the recipe calls for large eggs, then I use two for one.
My bantam eggs have very large rich yellow/orange yolks. I have bantamised hens rather than true bantam varieties as I wanted the eggs without too much broodiness. Wyandottes and Australorps are great little egg producers.
