I just found my bantam cochin hen "Boss Lady" with a severe prolapse. She's 7 months old, has been laying about once a week. She won't stand. How do I help her???

I'm putting her in a small dog crate with a towel instead of shavings. I'm going to try to reinsert the tissue. She did lay today I'm fairly certain.

That looks like hamburger meat, so she possibly has been pecked. Did she have a prolapsed egg as she was eggbound? I would clean her vent with saline and apply plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic twice a day. Keep her separated while she is being treated.
I checked and she's not egg bound that I could tell. I was able to get it back in. I cleaned it and she's separated and I'm going to try to keep her away from sunlight to discourage egg laying.

*Not sure if this is the same thing or not*
But my blue laced red Wyandotte bantam (Twinkie) prolapses every time she lays. It goes back in by itself (and doesn’t look all red and irritated like yours does). We got her when she was about 1-1.5 years old so I’m not sure if she had problems in the past? So maybe she had a problem like yours and prolapses every time now? I really don’t know. Great job pushing it back in by the way.😊

Thank you! I hope she'll be ok😔
