These guys are about 3+ months. The cockerel is developing a dark pattern but will be balanced out by the buff columbian looking pullet. The other pullet may suprise you. She isn't showing typical mf markings but is more partridgey/brown red looking with many white tips. I've seen d'uccles with subtle hints of this type of pattern on the hackles. I have 1 just like her I am keeping. These guys are all developing fabulous foot feathering and I believe the girls wil turn out nice and full. The cockerel is looking narrow and has a bit of squirrel tail.

I want to clarify that "squirrel tail" is a nickname some of us have given those two pesky feathers that rise above the rest. ...It's not wry tail or some serious condition.
