Bantam Mystery

The "spangled" one might be a Speckled Sussex bantam, but the body shape is wrong. Being a hatchery bird its kinda hard to say for sure. Speckled Sussex bantam with incorrect body shape or Spangled OEG bantam with incorrect leg color..... 50/50

Edited...... I sat up in bed at 11:26 last night and thought "Oh Crud, That's Not Right". A Speckled Sussex bantam would have white legs. So you've likely got a Spangled OEG with incorrect leg color, common for hatchery birds.

Gotcha. Hey I see you have Silver Campines. I have 2 roos. Id like to cross them with some of my hens but I dont want something ugly. Any suggestions on cross candidates. Im was thinking White leghorn or Light Brahmas or Barred rocks.

I have Silver Campine Old English Game Bantams. Same pattern, different breed.

Crossing them to the White Leghorns will get mostly white birds but about the same shape. Crossing to the Light Brahmas could be cool, not sure what you'd get there. Crossing to Barred Rocks will get barred birds "I've seen this cross with OEG, Silver Campine x Barred".
