Bantam RIR Hen x Golden Sebright Roo Appearance?

Quote:
Golden Sebright are Er/Er, Co/Co, Db/Db, Pg/Pg, Ml/Ml s+/s+

RIR Hen should be
eWh/eWh Co/Co db+/db+ ml+/ml+ Mh/Mh s+/-

this mix favors a Golden looking chicks, except for Mahogany that will turn their Golden Laced color to a Red Laced...

So the outcome will be
Er/eWh/ Co/Co Db/db+, Ml/ml+, Pg/pg+, Mh/mh+/ s+/s+/

So, like a sebright in build but with red lacing instead of gold?

So a red with black tips?

I may let her get bred to see what happens. I wonder what the eggs would look like out of their offspring?

Thank you very much!

Correct... as Er Co Db, Pg Ml(found in sebright) are domiant over the recessive counter part genes found on RIR except Mahogany.. which is the dominant gene that makes them red..

Depending on the quality of the R.I. Red I would expect that you will lose some if not all of the lacing in the tail and maybe in the wings of the offspring, do to the R.I. Red having Black tails and in there wings.

Why would that be? Emelanin restrictors like Co and Db are already present on the sebright as well as in the RIR with the exception of Db...

Do you mean Melanin Restrictors (Black Restrictors)?
How familiar are you with the R.I. Red Breed?

Sorry I meant Eumelanin Restrictors or Columbian like restrictors like Co(Columbian) Db(DarkBrown) Mh(Mahogany is believe to be a weak eumelanin restrictor)

well... I have only work with ISA browns, but I am familiar with their genetic make up.. like eWh/eWh(some show line are believed to be het for eb) Co/Co, Mahogany to make them Red(if not they would be R.I Buffs..) but SQ lines have un documented genes that make them so dark they look almost black.. Mh on itself can't do that...
