bantam rooster and big hens?

will my bantam rooster fertilize my red star and black austerlopes egg? or am I wasting my time with the litte guy he looks like a leghorn but im not sure he came with a seabright hen at the auction they are a pretty pair but i dont need more bantams

Most likely he would fertilize the eggs. I have a Bantam Rooster, all my hens are larger than he is & I have Orpingtons, Dominiques, Barred Rocks & RIR hens. All the eggs have hatched & some of the chicks are small with feathered feet (like the rooster) and some of the chicks are large like the hens when they were chicks. I've noticed that the smaller chicks when grown are the same size as the rooster, so you might end up with bantam hens that lay small eggs.
