This is "Baby Mimi" - we were new to chickens and hoped he would turn out as a she. My daughter fell in love with him the day we brought him home at 2 days old. They were inseparable--unfortunately an owl got him when he was about 5 months old-haven't had another like him since.

What was his breed? He was gorgeous. I love the color.

JJ (short for JJ the Jet Plane) Almost a year old He is quite the ladies man... He got his name because when he sees a cute hen that wonders off from the main roo Fred he takes off full blast with his wings out and chases her. He looks just like a plane taking off!!

Name: Tarzan
Age: Unknown, but I'm sure he's over three months
Breed: Red Jungle Fowl
I named him Tarzan mostly due to his breed; he's a brave, proud little rooster that defends his girls and isn't scared to try and startle the dogs or goats away from their run. He's also quite friendly and always eager to come running for his feed and a pat. Here's a picture of Tarzan guarding his girls. Wish I had a picture of him trying to fight with the Welsummer roo from the next run over, and was three times his size.

Name: Dodo
Age: 4 months 1 week
Breed: Red Shouldered Yokohama
Dodo is starting to put his foot down and letting the others roos know that he is in charge. He always wins, standing on his long legs and looking down on two other bantams: short legged Japanese Chamo and little shy Belgian d'Uccle cockerels.

Name: Winkie
Age: 4 month 1 week
Breed: Self-blue Belgian d'Uccle
Winkie always winks at me, and that is how he got his name. He is very brave for his size, and the first one to stand up to the older dominant hens that are three times large than him.

Name: BB Age 2 years plus Breed: blue Cochin Bantam He is a lover for sure even though he left the farm for a while! He lets everyone know he is in charge including our turkey:

Vinnie (after a John Travolta character, because of his "strut")
Leghorn
3 months

Sorry, everyone! Being very new to chickens, I trusted the feed store and their su;)pplier. They said he (and the. 3 pullets) were RIW! (But they also said there were 3 RIR in the dozen. Two of those are actually BO)

Name: Dixon
Age: 3 1/2 months
Breed: Booted bantam
About: He's my sweet Little Roo. :) He's been spoiled ever since he was a baby and I just love him so much!

Name: Georgia
Age: 3 1/2 months
Breed: Cochin bantam
About: He's the dominant rooster and he always tries to act really tough, but unlike Dixon, he can't even crow yet and the hens like Dixon better!
