bantam rooster, regular hens?

i am wondering if i put a bantam rooster in my flock with 10 regular sized hens if they would pick on him. i dont know much about chickens and how they would react with a small bird with them.

also i was wondering if they could halve chicks and if they did would they be big, small or medium?

don't know the answer to your "could they have chicks/what would they look like" part, but Mr. Big Stuff (bantam BB red rooster) has NO problems with hens picking on him; he aggravates them beyond belief mating with them, despite the fact that he has two bantam BBred hens of his own...

He definitely thinks he's big enough to get the job done. The alpha roo Sarge isn't too keen on Mr. Big Stuff's activity with the ladies and will run over and disrupt the proceedings if he's close enough.

Yes , I have heard of bantam Roo breeding with standard size hens .Their offspring is usually bantam to medium size , a lil smaller than the standard size hen used .

The hens don`t mind, and he doesn`t tear their backs up like a big guy either, and yes he can get the job done.

I have kept a bantam cochin roo with some big girls, None of the big girls had fertile eggs. Just my experience. Of course these were Buff O's so he would of needed a ladder.

Or their butt fluffs trimmed...that would get the pair started on some babies!

Yes bantam roos can breed regular sized hens without a problem. I had full grown chickens that are between the size of bantam and LF. So medium size is the way to go.
