bantam roosts

We use 2x4's for our banties. We live in wisconsin so they work great for the cold, they can sit on their feet. They are also nice and wide, they have no problem running back and forth on the nice wide perch. They do gather more poop on the negative.

For bantams I use 2x2s, 1.5 inch thick dowels, or tree branches. When the maples are trimmed back I keep the 1-3 inch thick limbs. My Dutch like the one that are around 1" thick. They avoid the larger ones.

i have this small roost for my 1 bantam who cant fly up to the large roost. i dont think that 2x2 will lead to bumble foot
