Bantam Silkie vs. Standard Silkie-- whats the difference?

i have been looking for the best broodie hens, would you say the silkies are good broodies..? thats what i have been hearing on line , but im not sure how big the silkies are..? could a silkie hen hatch 4 regular size chicken eggs like a BR size egg..?

Silkie x Cochin cross were always my best broodys. I've had some that would hatch duck and turkey eggs.

I would like to share my big boy silkie. I would like your opinions on his size. He's standing next to a 5 gallon bucket.

Here are some more of my silkies with LF Light Brahmas. My silkies in that pen varies from large, to bantam. You'll notice what I mean.

I am trying to get a collection of answers to help me decide.

I would like to get another silkie chick-- many sites sell all their silkies as bantams-- some sell them as standards. It all gets very confusing...

Are the standard silkies and bantam silkies the same chicken? I've heard arguments say that the silkies sold in the states are all the same "silkie" but sold as bantams.. wha?

Anyone got silkies-- if so what size were they as chicks (please compare to coins) What size are they now?

Thanks in advance!

I think you have to go to Great Britain to get the large silkis but I hear in North America they only sell bantams
