Bantam to LF or LF to Bantam?

I have a 'combless' mutation I've been working on that cropped up in one of my breeding pens. I am interested in trying to make a Combless Modern Game. I would prefer to have bantams, but the combless is currently in LF.

With horses we put the foal in the bigger parent. Same thing with chickens? Bantam rooster to LF hen (AI obviously) or the other way. I have the birds to do either.

Anyone done this?

I you want bantams then breed a LF Roo to Bantam hens. The chicks produced will be much closer to bantam size. My LF boys have mated with the bantam girls with no problem. (I have Ameraucanas).
