Bantam???

When you buy a bantam at the store what does that mean the breed is. I thought Bantam was the breed and now Im researching what I have and I dont think bantam is a breed???? Can any one help?

Nope! Bantam is the size. Chickens come in standard or bantam. The bantams are just pint sized chickens.

A lot of different breeds come in bantam size or standard size.

Did you get em from Orschles? if so they came from Estes Hatchery who sell only Assorted and straight run only... Breeds are :
Black Cochin, B.B. Red Old English, Buff Cochin, Frizzle, Golden Seabright, Millie Fleur, Partridge Cochin, Porcelain D'uccle, Black, White, and Blue Silkies, Silver Seabright, and White Black Tailed Japs
