bantams not going in at night?

I hatched out my pekins, about 5 months ago, but ever since they moved in with my other LF hens they have never gone into the coop on their own, and have roosted up on the area above? I have to out them in myself every night, what can i do?????

Have you watched to make sure that the large fowl hens are not pecking at the bantams excessively? Bigger chickens pick on littler chickens - it's how the pecking order works. Hopefully the longer they are together things will resolve.

Any possibility of creating an area within the coop that the bantams can access yet with openings small enough to exclude the large fowl?

Where are they bedding down? Maybe you could make that place less appealing and thus encourage them to seek a better place (hopefully) inside the coop.

They get on fine two of them are cockerels but they just dont want to go in?
