Bantams take less time to incubate than standard breeds?

Seems that my banty eggs hatch around 19 days, whereas my standard eggs hatch around 21 days under the same conditions.

Anyone else notice this in their hatching experience?

Have you/would you adjust incubation temps because of this?

Bantam breeds do hatch out a bit sooner than Standard chickens. Just make sure the conditions are correct. Mine usually pip day 19 and hatch during day 20. I have been keeping the incubator on the cooler side of 99 degrees as a result. I worry about early hatches with unabsorbed yolk sac. So far I have never had that problem.

21 days is not set in stone by any means, so as long as your getting good hatches and the chicks are fine, I wouldn't change anything.

I do get good hatches with my banty eggs with no problems with unabsorbed yolks as of yet. It's just that I've never heard or read about any difference in hatch time between the breed sizes, so I was curious if anyone else had this experience or if it was just me.

I had RIR with silkie eggs together and the first ones to hatch were the RIR. Also the hatch rate was about the same.

With my Dutch, its usual for them to be early. This time, I had a few pips on day 18 and they started hatching out on the 19th. Temps are not high, this seems to be the normal for them. It is rare for my Dutch to wait till day 21 to pip and hatch.
