i love little things what are some of the smallest chickens and where can i buy them i perfer chick hatcheries but i will soon have an incubator. i am not interested now but in spring.

What is your climate like? Tiny chickens are not always the most cold hardy. Some good small chicken breeds however are seramas or old English game bantams. Are you looking for something friendly or planning to show?

i might show them in a bit but i need something frendly my climate gets a bit of snow each year.

I think that OEGB would be a good choice for you. They are one of the smallest breeds but not as delicate and hard to find as Seramas. One thing to note is the males have to be dubbed for show, and if you want to compete, you would have to get some from a breeder since they’re very competitive.

I've always loved the look of d'Anvers, d'Uccles, and bantam cochins! I have (and have had) and they do well in the cold weather. Though the ones with big single combs (cochins and d'uccles) are more prone to frostbite than the d'Anvers.

I love d’Anvers too.
The feather legs might cause trouble, but I don’t know that single combs will. It sounds like the OP is from a pretty mild climate.

Well, then they should do pretty well with those breeds. Mild is not a way that I would describe my climate LOL. We have a lot of snow in the winter and the chickens hate it XD. I do agree that the feathered legs can be a problem at times. It's hard to get them to look nice.
