bantams

My RIR bantam ("Little Red") lays quite large eggs for her size and lots of them!

I have all bantams, 5 cochins (3 are frizzles) and 3 seabright hens. All are roughly 3-4 years old. I get 5-6 eggs daily in the Fall, Winter and Spring. As we hit the heat of a California summer they drop down to 2-3 day.

My japanese bantams have far beat out the sebrights, seramas, d'uccle, and bantam EE. I rarely fail to get an egg from them and they'll start laying in the middle of our winters if that's when they reach the age for it. -20F with no sunlight and I start getting japanese bantam eggs for the year. It's happened the past 2 years.
