LOL! Completly... a necessary waste of time.

My chickens are in basement right now because it's gonna be 20 below WITHOUT windchill tonight... I'm excited, because then I can see them a lot more and a lot longer, because I don't hafta take 10 minutes putting scarfs (or scarves? I thought it was scarves, but I got it wrong on a spelling test because it was "supposed to be the other way". Stupid spelling test. Or whatever company makes those dumb reading books. LOL) and coats and boots and stuff on. I can snuggle with them in the comfort of my own HEATED basement!

Lucky. Here in California, since there's no snow, most people have no basements. We have a crawlspace, though! Unfortunately, its infested with who knows how many black widows...

And plus, my mom doesn't let the chickens come in the house. Except for the babies, cuz it's too cold to keep the brooder in the garage during winter. Tell your nice, warm chickens I say hi
big_smile.png

And BTW, your spelling test was wrong. Scarf is singular. The plural term is scarves.

Stupid test. I KNEW it! BWAHAHAH!

BLACK WIDOWS? THAT is creepy. I'm not much of a spider person normally but, bleck.

Trust me, my parents are NOT that happy about the girls inside the house... Although I did hear my mom bawking and clucking at them when she was taking clothes out of the drier.

You Californians and Florida-people are lucky... 21 below without windchill is NOT fun. I like Wisconsin though.

This is random, but California reminds me of this. Can't you just imagine some actor with tons of makeup and a million dollar dress stepping out of her limo and walking down the "isle" cradling a chicken on her hip? I do that with my EE all the time. I'll walk around with her like that, or sometimes I'll lay her down on her side on one of my hands and she'll curl her top leg up and look at me sideways... I need to get a picture... it's HILARIOUS!!!

It's not too cold here right now, but normally it is. Not a "sweet-snow" cold, a "I'm-so-cold-and-I'm-so-sleepy-I-cant-concentrate-on-my-test" cold. Plus, we don't wear fluffy coats. BRR!

My dad doesn't mind chickens, but my mom isn't very happy about them ripping up the yard. I have to drag mom out to see the chickens- though she does like watching them run, with their fluffy little butts... well, being fluffy.

I don't live near L.A., though. I'm from Northern California

I sighed when I realized Jae was gone again. I blinked a couple times, stepped over Milla and Lena and crawled out the entrance to the cave. Jae was sitting on a rock in front of the moon, gazing up into it. "Jae?" I asked cautiously. I hadn't noticed that I was cold until I heard my voice quavering because of the cold. "Estelle? Oh, hey!" He cocked his head and smiled. I loved the way his eyes crinkled at the sides when he smiled. "Whoa! Essie... get control of yourself... " I breathed, then I ducked my head and fluttered up to Jae. As I settled in next to him, my fluffy little body uncontrollably burst into a spasm of shivers. "You're FREEZING!" Jae exclaimed as he touched my face. "Just a little," I giggled. I scooted a little bit closer to Jae to keep myself warm. We just sat and watched the moon for a while, until my eyelids felt like led. I let my eyes close and I leaned onto Jae's shoulder. Soon I was snoring. Loud, too. "How romantic," I giggled to Jae as my breathing got heavier and more peaceful. He just laughed and closed his eyes.

Ohhhh... A one paragraph drama! What should happen? LOL, I don't know... I'm bored.

It's pretty much the other way around with us

My dad puts up with it, and he's even helping my build the new chicken coop this spring (

). My mom just is WAYYY against roosters. We hatched one... he was a sweetheart when he wasn't trying to impress the girls, but when they were in his sight he was MEAN! He bit me a couple times and made me bleed, and once he attacked my mom because she picked up one of the hens. She doesn't even want me to hatch, EVEN when I tell her we can give them a way or trade them for a hen or two... I'll have to work on her

I was waken my the breeze ruffling my frizzle feathers. I smiled and blinked my eyes, clearing my vision. "Wow..." I breathed. Everything was so intesely green that it almost hurt my eyes. Flowers waved in the breeze, little droplets of dew gently splashing onto the ground. I smiled dreamily, but then I suddenly thought of my friends.

"Milla?!" I screeched, my voice breaking. I was worried to lose them again. "Essie, we're right here," Milla smiled and rolled her eyes happily. "Mill!" I shouted as I tackled her and the others with a hug. "Mill?" she laughed. "Why are you freaking out so much? We were just in that cave." I realized Jae wasn't there. "And Jae?" I looked around, as if he was going to walk out from behind a tree smiling. "Uhh... We though he was with you..." Micia had a look of sympathy on her face. I felt a wave of panic sweep over me. "JAE?!" I screeched. Milla looked terrified, but I wasn't sure if it was for Jae or me. "Where are we? How can I not even know that?" I grabbed my head, on the verge of tears. "Estelle, we're like four paces away from that cave," Lena said, always the sarcastic mean one. "JAE!!!" I cried desprately, but my voice just echoed into the emptiness of the bleak, now ugly, gray sky.

ANOTHER dramatic one.
