Bantyman Eggs Hatched....Pics Pg 4 Updated

Quote:
I had one egg that was fertile out of 6 that I set in the bator. At day 17, it was fine, moving around in the shell and everything. I expected it to at least be rocking or something, but it is now day 21, and there is no rocking, peeping, pipping...nothing...So I definitely feel your pain...

hooray for the new hatchlings!
I am still waiting on my two seabrights.
tomorrow is day 21.

Day 22, a Standard Favorelle hatched last night , I didn't see any more pips or anything.
Got up this morning 4 more Favorelles are pipped and a Red Cochin (Finally)

I am a little concerned because the humidity is dropping and one of the pipped eggs looks a little dry. Working til 5 so hoping all is well. Will determine if I want to chance tossing a wet sponge in when I get home.

C'mon Kids......HATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a setup to add water without lifting the lid, and I of course worry about that, especially with eggs pipping. The humidity was at 60% this morning, if it is lower when I get home, I probably will ease the top up a bit and add a wet sponge.

What about slipping a length of aquarium tubing in to where it goes to your water dish, then use a syringe (or internal baster syringe) to put water in that way?

Just a thought

Take care!!

And if you do lift the lid, maybe use a mister to bump the humidity up real quick?

I may try that, I use the grippy shelf liner stuff so it covers up a good bit of the wire.
