Bare spots on neck

I have these 2 Maran Chicks. Cuckoo Maran over black/splash Maran hen.
When they hatched they had a few bare spots i figured it would grow in. They are almost 4 weeks and still have it on the sides of their neck. None of the other chicks have it and I never saw this before. Any thoughts? Just wait and see?

It was like that out of the shell. She/he hatched with those spots like that. They were kept inside no mites or lice.

It was only these 2 out of 5 that hatched and these look identical.

You can see the spots immediately i thought the feathers were just matted down from being wet, but then the feathers never grew.

Sometimes it's like a mutation and can come from nowhere...

Interesting! I've just never seen it before and wondered if anyone else has seen it!
