Okay, one of our chickens just barfed. I'm not sure what's wrong, but she seems to be fine. The barf had the consistency of a cecal poop, and it was pretty wet and slimy. It wasn't too wet, but rather very slimy and oozing slowly. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a picture because SOMEBODY thought it was a good idea to eat her sister's vomit. EW. Is there something wrong with her?

Could you have squeezed on her crop? Is there any bad odor from her beak. How does her crop feel—full and puffy, hard doughy, or empty and flat? How old is she and has she been laying eggs recently? What do you feed her, and do you put out some granite poultry grit for her to take as needed?

We haven't squeezed her crop. I can't smell any bad odor. She is just over 6 months old and has been consistently laying eggs for the past week. We give her grit frequently, and was put on layer food last month.
