Barn cats and how quick do they "mature"

Also call the local vet, they will advise you of financial assistance programs for spay neuter and non-profit groups they work with. My cat's neuter was roughly half price through one of these programs. They usually have a brief application you need to fill out in advance.

Also the boy is more likely to stick around once neutered and less likely to wander off.

Someone beat me to it but def called your SPCA and tell them that you have two feral cats and want to get them spayed and then released back outside and they will charge a "greatly" decreased amount to do so. I have LOTS of feral cats in my area and one male cat adopted us and sleeps in the coop with the chickens (he is named Coop Kitty) and it is only going to cost me $30 to get him neutered and all taken care of.

Oh they're both female... Lol so im sure stormy wont be far behind getting pregnant.

there are many spay/neuter and shot programs for those on fixed income. In our area, $35 covers neuter, rabies, and the resp. vaccine.

If they aren't quite old enough to be pregnant, I would guess a heavy worm load.

and, no, you aren't likely to be able to encourage her to pick a "good" spot to have her litter. If you put at a box/house for her, the other cat is likely to want to sleep in it to which means that she won't have her kittens there. The only way to control where she has them would be to catch her and confine her

I figured the other cat might be an issue. Im just putting a few boxes around for her full of hay in places they hang out.
