Barn into open air coop conversion

glop it on good to fill the voids
Oh I did! I didn't even wipe the brush off with the sides of the can. I filled up most of the voids with kilz, and get them really well with the paint. I have Rheumatoid Disease, and my hands are really hurting after painting for two days. I plan on painting the rest this week once it gets back up above freezing.

You and your husband did a fantastic job Henless (with chicks)!!!!

Looks real good!!

Thank you! Were almost finished with it. Well, finished for now anyway! (I do have 2 more stalls, a tack room and hay room...)

I would love to see pics of your happy hens in their space! We are planning an open air coop and are in northeast tx, as well. I'm definitely using the Dutch door idea! Thanks for taking the time to post pictures. I'm a very visual learner.

I'll be sure and post it once they get to be hens! Right now, they are in my watermelon box in my husbands shop. It is totally enclosed, no drafts and no animal access as long as the doors are shut. I told him that if he would run electricity to my shed, that I would put them out there. He has the shop, I have the shed and barn!

What part of NE Texas are you located? I live out in the country, South of Longview.

We are north of you - between Greenville and Sulphur Springs. I could tell you were closer to the La border with all those pine trees :)
