Isa brown x . Pullet or roo?

Hi, this is my 9 week old isa brown x. Do you think I have a pullet or roo? Thanks

At that age, thats a cockerel

There isn't as large a comb as I would expect on a male this age. And, the bird may be flushed. These fair feathered ones tend to look brighter in comb and face, especially when excited.

You also didn't include any photos of the bird standing without hands covering the wings and body. But, wing patches bleeding through, emerging saddle, and pointy neck feathers coming in are the more reliable indicators. I would look there rather than trying to decide based on face.

This one is kind of in between. I would re-evaluate at 12 or 13 weeks and check for male specific feathering at that time.
