Barnevelder breeders lets work together and improve the breed

opinions? She's about 6 years old and this seems to be the closest breed she resembles. She is incredibly soft!!!

Can't help you there, but can I see a better pic of your water dispenser? Looks pretty cool, with less waste
lol, sure, I'll try to post a better picture soon. It's just an empty Listerine mouthwash bottle with a chicken cup waterer screwed into the lid and sealed with silicone. When I first put it in there the chickens all gathered around to see what it was, then acted like it was an alien or some scary monster - they'd peck at the bottle and then run away like it was going to attack It was hilarious! I came back a couple of hours later and they were still all gathered around the thing, but they'd finally figured out that if they peck at the inside of the cup, it dispenses water. They were taking turns pecking at it, getting a drink, then moving away for the next. Too funny!

I lied - it's a Kirkland mouthwash bottle ;) Here' a couple of pictures I have a couple more of the cup waterers that I'm going to attach to a bucket for in the run. Usually I see these attached to a PVC pipe, but those would freeze in the winter. I'm planning to use a standard stock heater for the bucket in the winter. Not sure if this will work, but I was thinking I might be able to use a really small aquarium heater for these small waterers for in the coop?
