My wife always says it's the boys that shout and bleat when they are chicks. I will have to test the hypothesis one day.

mine are always busy and chatter to each other but it isn't loud - sound like a rusty gate being opened and closed. The roo's have a loud crow
I ask because I have chicks that are loud and chirp NON STOP LITTERALLY
ive read a very compelling style of raising chicks and thats in the natural world rather then in a brooder and the arguement seemed compellingYou can't judge a breed's behavior from hatchery stock let alone judge a whole breed on an experience with one batch of chicks. Most of my Barnevelders are easygoing chicks. I've raised a few hatchery chicks of various breeds and they were noisier by far. The most skittish was a buff orpIngton. And those are supposed to be very calm, LOL.
Double check that they are comfortable. They may of had a rougher trip and were stressed more. Are you using a red light for heat or white? Maybe they would do even better with a true period of sleep with a heat only style brooder ( not 24 hour light).

I'm not judging, I'm asking as this is the first time owning this breed. They are all warm and cozy, food, water (with electrolytes), and a soft white lightbulb. I have yet to find a red one that works like these bulbs. All the red ones I've found was for energy saving and they don't give of the heat needed.. I have a eco glower, but not enough space.
Try looking at Lowes or Home Depot. I've found 100-85 watt red "landscape" bulbs. They work pretty well for smaller brooders and don't get too hot. They are for outside ( spot lights etc. I put them in the " heat lamps". Less chance of a fire too, but I make sure the lamps are securely fastened.
