Barnevelder chick. Hen or roo??

All of my barnevelder roos were extremely sweet and docile (all went to new homes due to a bratty neighbor). I would say that this one is a boy, but give it a little longer to be sure. If you have enough hens and are allowed to keep a rooster, do it. I wish we could have kept ours, he was like a puppy, came running and jumped on your lap, loved to be carried around by the kids and I.

If anybody is interested, here is him now 😍 12 weeks old

I have this barnevelder chick. Around 3 weeks old. Does anybody have any idea if it looks male or female? Is it too early to tell? It’s wings seemed to take longer to grow than my other chick breeds. And it’s legs are thicker. Don’t have another barnevelder to compare it to though so I really don’t know. Thanks
Cockerel.

6 months old! 😍😍 he’s such a good rooster.
